My mind went blank. I did not know what to do. It was as if my whole world was coming down on me at once, and I could not get help. My perfect little family, to everyone else, has been falling off a cliff and now has finally crashed to the ground. The true problems that were hidden to others for years were finally being broadcasted for everyone to see. Overcoming that obstacle was the hardest thing that I have ever had to do in my entire life. Since my parent’s separation, I have become a more fair-minded person and discovered the importance of family.
I remember that day as if it was yesterday. My parents were not talking; instead, they were sending quick glances at each other. I did not think a lot about it, because they have been doing that a lot lately. However, there was something different about the atmosphere it was thick and unusual. I knew something was wrong when my parents told me that they wanted to talk to me. They both lead me into our old fashion dinning, with our huge wooden dining table. The soft red and tan rug was beneath my feet giving me comfort, and the lights were very dim. My parents sat on either side of me, with worried looks on both of their faces. No one talked for a while, the room was filled with complete silence. The next thing you know my dad said,” I know this is going to be hard for you. Therefore, I am just going to say it.
