Technology is a ticking time bomb counting down to the very second when humankind meets their downfall. Since the eighteenth century, humans have attempted time and time again to develop technology. It has come to the point where we can visualize a future where mechanics such as artificial intelligence is a common trend throughout every home in every city. The question is, will it come to a point where our rise comes up short and becomes our greatest fall? Despite the fact that technology now makes reality facile, it has evolved so greatly that there is now a chance that the fabric of humankind can be destroyed due to our dependency on electronic devices, our incessant need to further develop artificial intelligence within our homes, and our potential to create overpowering cyborg technology. Living in the twenty-first century, we, as humans, are completely encompassed by our electronic devices every single day. From the minute we wake up to tap the snooze button on our alarms to the very last minute of the day, when we see the screen slowly fade to black as our eyes gradually shut. Statistics show that 80% of smartphone users check their phones within 15 minutes of waking up and 79% of adult smartphone users have their phones with them for 22 hours a day. A vast majority of the many professions within the world today either revolve or involve the use of the internet.
